How We Ensure Consistency

STANDARDISED SCORECARDS

Every judge uses identical scorecards with detailed scoring guides for each criterion. This eliminates subjective interpretation and ensures all applications are evaluated against the same standard.

INDEPENDANT THEN COLLABORATIVE

Judges score independently first (prevents groupthink), then meet to discuss and compare scores. If there are significant discrepancies, judges discuss why and may adjust scores based on perspectives they hadn't considered.

AVERAGING
SCORES

Final scores are the average of all judges' scores. This prevents any single judge from having disproportionate influence and ensures consensus-based results.

How to Strengthen Your Application

BE SPECIFIC

"We support local schools" scores low. "We donated $5,000 to Wantirna Primary which funded sports equipment for 200 students" scores high.

PROVIDE EVIDENCE

Upload photos, letters of support, testimonials. Judges can see proof of your claims, not just read about them.

TELL REAL STORIES

Share specific examples of times you went above and beyond. Judges remember stories, not generic claims.

QUANTIFY IMPACT

Numbers help: hours volunteered, emploees hired locally, customers served, revenue growth. Impact is measureable.

WRITE NATURALLY

Don't use corpoate jargon. Write like you're telling a friend why your business is special. Authenticity resonates with judges.

ADDRESS ALL CRITERIA
